The Wright County Wave Swim Club is a competition based swim program. The team competes in meets throughout the metro area, St. Cloud and Hutchinson. Practices are held at Buffalo Community Middle School. Swimmers are encouraged but not required to participate in time standard meets.

Swimmers with the Wright County Wave Swim Club develop and enhance their skills using proper technique in all of the competitive strokes, plus proper turns and starts. Those strokes are Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and the Butterfly.

Swimmers are grouped into one of three levels depending on their skills.

• Minnows – Beginner Swimmers – Practice two times per week – 1.5 hours
• Sharks – Intermediate Level Swimmers – Practice 3/4 times per week – 1.5 hourss
• Competitors – Gold/Silver/Bronze – Higher Level Swimmers – Practice 3/4 times per week – 2 hours
